What time does registration open?
Registration opens at 7.30am – please come early to allow enough time to collect your race bib number and timing tag.
What time does the race start?
- Wheelers start at 9:30am
- All runners start together at 9:35 am
- Walkers start at 9:40am
Can I participate in a wheelchair?
Yes, wheelchair entry is available.

What time does online registration close?
- Online entry is available until 9.00am on the morning of the race – Sunday, 26 October
- If you register after 5pm on Saturday 25 October, the bib & timer pick up process may take a little longer on the morning of the event.
Can I run with my school?
We offer a special cash prize to the school(s) with the winning team in each of the two school 4k run categories – Primary School and High School.

Can I be added to a team?
If you want to swap teams or join a team after you have registered, please contact us on maroubrafunrun@gmail.com and let us know what you would like to change from and to, and we can do it for you!

Do you have a family entry option?
The Family pass is for 2 Adults and up to 4 kids living in the same household.
When entering the Family 4k Run, you need to register all the family members that will be taking part in the event at the same time to ensure they get a race bib on race day.

What is my official race time?
- The Fun Run events are professionally timed by Multisport. Each entrant is issued with a numbered race bib and an electronic tag. The timing system provides two times for each entrant – gun time and net time.
- Gun Time is the time from the starting gun until you cross the finish mat.
- Net time is the time from when you personally cross the start mat until you cross the finish mat.
- The official race results are determined by gun time. Net time gives a more accurate indication of your personal performance, especially if you are towards the back of the pack at the start.

Will there be food and drinks for sale?
Yes there will be food trucks and the South Maroubra Surf Club BBQ at Oktoberfest, which is at the finish line.
Will there be road closures?
There will be road closures around the course route from 9:00am until 11:00am while the Fun Run is in progress.
We respectfully request that motorists be aware of the event and keep in mind the safety of the runners, walkers & wheelers.
Is there parking?
There is parking along Bernie Kelly Drive, and in surrounding streets.
Please note: The park access road, Bernie Kelly Drive, will be closed from 8.30 am – 11.00am for the run.
What do I get for finishing?
Everyone that takes part gets a Certificate that are handed out at the finish line. On the certificate you can record your finishing times.

Can I run with my dog?
- Dogs are permitted to join you in the Fun Run provided they are on a leash and you are in control of them the whole time – remember not everyone likes dogs.
- We request that if you bring your dog, that you start near the back so we can minimise the risk of people tripping over the dog or the leash.
Can I push a pram?
Yes, Prams/strollers are permitted. We ask that you start at the back of the race
We need the prams behind the runners at the start line for safety reasons. You will also need to register your child as Under 5 for insurance purposes. Your child will also receive a race bib which you can pin onto the pram.
